“One must travel to learn – Mark Twain”
In high school, my art teacher introduced an educational trip opportunity to our sophomore class. Until then, my travel experiences were limited to spring breaks in Florida with my grandparents—but that summer changed everything. I found myself exploring the Louvre in Paris, riding the London Eye, and enjoying unforgettable pesto pasta on the cobblestone streets of Florence. That first trip sparked a lifelong love of travel and learning, and I was fortunate that my teacher continued organizing annual trips, allowing me to expand my horizons year after year.
When it came time to choose a university, I knew I wanted a school with a strong Study Abroad program. DePaul University was the perfect fit. During my time there, I participated in two short-term programs—one in India, where I studied culture and anthropology, and another in Scandinavia, focused on sustainable design and art. My most transformative experience was a four-month study abroad in Australia, which even included a special visit from my mom for her first international trip to New Zealand.
Today, I channel that same passion into my role as a travel coordinator. I work closely with advisors and clients to craft seamless, personalized travel experiences—handling the logistics so they can focus on enjoying their journey. It’s incredibly rewarding to help others discover the world, just as I did.
