Q Cruise + Travel is hiring a Vacation Coordinator.
Update: we have selected our new Vacation Coordinator and will introduce her to you next month. Meanwhile, we’d like to thank those who applied for the position for their time and interest in Q. Still want to be part of the Q Team? Maybe the role of Independent Travel Advisor is one for you!
As a Vacation Coordinator at Q, you help administer and perfect our clients’ vacation experience from first contact through return home. You’ll assist our Cruise + Travel Advisors in making travel arrangements. You’ll process and invoice reservations, answer and direct incoming phone or online enquiries, schedule appointments with travel partners, advisors and clients. All in all, you’ll help ensure a smooth day-to-day operation of our Magnificent Mile travel office.
Successful Candidates
A successful Vacation Coordinator will:

- Like the detailed administrative work required to review and ensure travel arrangements are accurate, all the time
- Be the bright voice that welcomes our clients and travel partners by phone or to the office
- Be eager to further develop their luxury travel understanding and expertise, which – if desired – may lead to a future role as a luxury Travel Advisor
- Be a clear communicator, by phone, in writing and, ideally, social media
- Assist our President in running the day-to-day office operation, including administration, basic IT support, and more.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States, be able to travel abroad and willing to commute to our office on Chicago’s Michigan Avenue
- Be available to work full-time, although for the right candidate, a part-time position will be considered
What’s in it for you?
- A competitive hourly salary – whether you work full-time or part-time.
- Paid vacation time and holidays. (As a travel company, we encourage our team members to get to know our travel partners and to explore the world)
- IRA with company matching plan for full-time employees
- Medical/dental/vision insurance for full-time employees
- RTA/CTA commuter benefit
- Access to our office fitness center
- Prime office location at the One Magnificent Mile building

Is there an option for remote work as well?
Hello! Thank you for asking. The position of Vacation Coordinator is based in our Mag Mile office in Chicago. For remote positions, you may want to consider an Independent Advisor role – where you run your own independent travel business, affiliated with Q and Virtuoso, from any location you like.
